Arriba Grill

All I had heard about the new burrito place on Prospect Road is that ‘the guy is SO friendly!’ ‘So what if he’s friendly?’ I thought. ‘Can he make a good burrito?’ Because if he can’t make a good burrito in his new burrito shop, all the friendly in the world won’t help him.

But you know what? This ‘friendly man’ made me a burrito and HOLY SHIT SAUCE it was awesome. It was awesome and huge and everything a burrito should entail. And the ‘friendly man’? So friendly. His name is actually James and he and a friend, both hailing from Brisbane, decided to jump straight into the proverbial guacamole bowl and open up a friendly little burrito shop in the growing coolness that is Prospect Road. He has relocated to Adelaide and is making his mark serving up beans, meats, a range of salsas, salads, cheese, jalapenos and home-made guac all in a white or wheat wrap for us. (Gluten free wraps are currently in the lab.)

Arriba Grill is cute, wholesome, local, organic, vegan-thumbs-up, and of course, uber friendly. The place is super fresh, in all senses of the word, just like the hardly-dry mural on the alleyway wall outside. If you pay James (and his lovely assistants) a visit, I guarantee you’ll fall in love with Arriba Grill. I did, with burrito all over my face and lap. And it’s gonna happen again very soon.
