Moon Child

Mel Loughnan (Utopian Slumps) could have been that little mousy-haired girl in the flashback in Annie Hall who said “I’m into leather” in a really creepy way. Because Mel’s into leather, but not in a creepy way at all. She always knew there was more to animal hide than whips and S&M. She envisioned tasteful garments that could be worn in the everyday wardrobe, set off by soft knits and cottons. Not a butt holster or leather net vest on the horizon.

Then she met Pete Le Chic (For the Homies, Noir) and their mutual love of leather was upended and multiplied upon itself. Their label Moon Child was born and with it an AW10 range of wearable leather basics for the ladies. This range is now exclusive to The Thousands Shop, including the full circle skirt, the cropped motorcycle jacket, and the hooded capelet. You’ll be wanting one piece or a couple to team with your woollens this winter.
