Stephanie Makes Hamburgers
published on 2nd June, 2010

My hamburger collection includes salt and pepper shakers, a coaster set, fluffy CD case, sugar bowl and fridge magnet, so I may be a little biased about these babies. But what’s not to love? Each wee, wafer-thin ingredient is hand-carved out of paper and lovingly dusted with Posca. The hard bit will be deciding which one you’re licking your chops for the most. Bit on the Side comes with extras like beetroot and bacon, Double Cheeseburger is the littlest big cheese in town, while Bacon & Egg Burger and Vege Burgers are for the non-puritans. All are fresh off the grill, and superrrrrr-tasty.

Clearly, maker and masterchef Stephanie Anderson is a genius, and we should keep an eye on her – not least because she’s nifty with a tiny-scalpel. And in my book, any item that is no larger than a 10c piece is worth AT LEAST 300x10c, which is what these babies will set you back. Unless that 10c-sized item is dog poo. Or frozen peas. Although, if those two things were made of hand-cut paper and lovingly dusted with Posca by Stephanie herself, then I’d think about it. Watch this space.
