As a proud nerd surrounded by nerds, I am fully aware of all the different genres of nerd. Tech nerds, film nerds, design nerds. The list grows by the minute, just as our need to pigeonhole human activity into genres grows. Lucky for us, Cut Chemist, a hip-hop/funk/afro/everything producer from Jurassic 5 and acclaimed producer-only label Ninja Tune is in town to show you what being a real music nerd is all about: mixers connected to turntables connected to loop pedals connected to projectors connected to other stuff.
