‘It Came From Outer Space’

600 hours. 600 HOURS! Now that is a long time. That’s how long Joshua Smith spent on this ‘Giallo’ genre inspired show. For those of you who didn’t pass year 6 Italian, ‘giallo’ is Italian for yellow, bene. ‘Giallo’ books started as cheap crime and pulp paperbacks in the ’30s and were named this because of their trademark yellow covers. Giallo books soon became giallo films in the ’50s, famous for horror (tick), crime (tick), sci-fi (tick) and eroticism (TICK!). See Joshua’s, Dan Withey’s and Simone Clare-Hede’s works before you head to The Metro.
