Imprints

Nestled in the West End’s concrete club jungle and awkwardly close to Red Square, Imprints is a breath of fresh air – in a musty bookish kind of way – as you walk through its varnished wooden doors.

The beauty of Imprints is that it has everything you want in a book shop.  Cosy arm chairs, a warm sentiment, and it looks like the Hogwarts library, with ladders up to the ceiling and a handsome middle aged man behind the counter. You can get lost in all the little nooks which lead you to different times and forget what you were looking for in the first place

What’s more, like the best book stores, they stock a range of books hard to come by in many other book shops. If you are like me and eBay-challenged it can make all those sad late nights on the internet dreaming of owning the Mozipedia (yes, the Encyclopaedia of Morrissey and The Smiths) a beautiful reality.

There is always something amazingly unexpected and you just may find yourself with an empty wallet as you scamper out onto Hindley Street with your brown paper bag of a different kind of Hindley magic.
