Wax Museum

Go up the stairs inside Hause Store – you will be transported to Brooklyn, New York’s second most populous borough. You will emerge in a clean, minimal record store where thoughtful young men are leaned up against a counter, nodding their heads to the beats being emitted from their Macbooks. For people like me, this will be the best record store in the world.

If you’re a person like me, you’ll agree. But that depends – do you like the finest selection of new and used hip-hop, R&B, soul and funk vinyl? Ranging from the newest Stones Throw marque release to the most obscure of the obscure? If you answered yes, and are serious about compiling the most impeccable selection of beats around, Wax Museum is it. I guess it’s just a shame you won’t find it in little ol’ Adelaide.

Honestly, I bought a red, heart-shaped record. I don’t even own a record player – but how could I not?
