What the heck is FiveThousand? Well, FiveThousand likes music, art, beer, fancy pants, words, wearing clothing some of the time, dancing out of time some of the time and spaghetti. FiveThousand also likes to party on odd nights due to a profound Saturday night anxiety. This may or may not be fictional. The pressure to get the ‘party on’ on a Saturday night is all too much for this website. There’s nothing like a wild Tuesday or a sassy Sunday. The best time to party is when you feel like it. Bam!

We were supposed to throw all you lovely people a party during what people call Christmas, but alas, someone snapped their leg and couldn’t put on the party that we’d been dreaming of (good bands, playing on a rooftop – kinda like this). The East End ain’t Manhattan but it would have been great! Who’s up for next summer? All we need to do now is to save this rooftop.

It’s April. There’s a little less sun and it’s getting cold. But there’s still beer, and there are still great bands. What’s better than a cosy (maybe sweaty) basement on a cold Sunday? That’s right, nothing. Come to our Xmas Party on Sunday, from 3pm at Format, beer, Fake Tan, Dick Diver, Bitch Prefect and good people (including Uncle Stan). Sure it’s a weird time to party but what else you gonna do huh?
