Format gallery call for proposals
by STEPHANIE LYALL

Wednesday February 15, 2.30pm. Format exudes a semblance of professionalism with its latest call for exhibitions in the gallery space, proving it’s not all about trashy DJs, LOLs and cheap champagne on Peel Street. If you think you’ve got what it takes to show some artwork upstairs, then head here to read more about what they’re looking for and submit your application to contact@format.net.au by March 16.

Help FELT get to Sweden!
by STEPHANIE LYALL

Tuesday January 24, 12.10pm. FELT are off to Sweden in February to spruik our best and brightest at the Stockholm Independent Art Fair. Amazing much?! Unfortunately shipping artwork to the other side of the world costs a lot of money, so they’ve turned to Pozible for support. If you’ve got a spare fiver (or more), why not send it their way? You could even snag a copy of FELTspace Gold or a limited edition artist print. Fancy! Donate here.

by STEPHANIE LYALL

Thursday January 12, 10.30am. Just when we thought we were done with sales, Julie White yells ‘twenty-five percent off!’ and we go flying to her online store, credit card in hand and ready to use the ‘FLASH25′ discount code. If Julie asked us to jump off a cliff would we do it? Probably. She’s a sweetheart, and we’re obliging with things like that. Sale ends midnight Jan 15!

Win an iPad 2!
by RACHEL ELLIOT-JONES

Among science fiction blog nerds, Star Trek is often credited with the invention of the flip phone and the tablet/iPad. They predicted the future by matching their current technology with human desire, and then some very smart people raided the prop department and turned their ideas into a reality.

What we know is that before you can predict the future, you must understand the present. So, as The Thousands continues to think about how we can make our content more convenient and mobile, we want to understand what mobile means to you. And, that’s what our Mobile Survey is all about.

In the survey there are only 12 multiple-choice questions that are so quick to answer you might even go back in time. We are also dangling the proverbial carrot with an iPad 2 to give away to one lucky survey taker. The draw is random and we’ll announce the winner on Twitter and Facebook next Wednesday. It’s simple, all you need to do is click here.
