Mark McGuire is a guitar demigod. That may be a bit of an overstatement, but the guy’s craftsmanship when it comes to creating ambient noises and making them sound like slowed down instrumental pop songs is phenomenal. It’s like a Constellation band sans the earnestness, but still punk as hell. I mean that in the attitude sense, not the loud thrashing music sense. Also of band Emeralds, McGuire is out here living with himself and will be joined by Blank Realm. Apparently they may be even be jamming out a song together. Spesh.
