GFC, thank god it’s mostly over. I had to give up my passion for all things magazine, but don’t worry fashion filled pages – I’m back. While spending the weekend trolling tumblr blogs, I came across something. Monster & Midget is what it read, but what the hell is that, I thought?

Monster & Midget is a magazine for ‘the weirdos and the wonderfuls!’. And it makes me very proud to say that it is beautifully crafted by two fashion conscious and design savvy Brisbane locals – Thembi Hanify and Ashlea O’Neill. It pleases my design-conscious eyes as well as having a sweet girlie-ness about it as well.

Currently, it resides online, but will be printed and circulating the east coast soon. The inspiration for their first issue is evident in the articles, Akatre, Mahon & Band, Heidi Yardley, Eddy Current Suppression Ring, and Mt Eerie, with the interview with David Band by Miss O’Neil an absolute stand out. It’s one very big idea, striving away from the centre point of mediocrity. So much more than a magazine.
