If you’re looking for quality Japanese homewares and accessories, Shibui is the place to go. Even if you’re not looking for quality Japanese homewares and accessories, Shibui is still the place to go. By the time you leave the store you will wonder how you ever lived without quality Japanese homewares and accessories.

Run by husband-wife team Shozo Terauchi and Justine Llewelyn, Shibui designs and manufactures much of its stock here in Brisbane, using Llewelyn’s extensive collection of Japanese silks and fabrics to make deliciously-pretty cushions, bags, coin-purses, kimonos. The shop is also renowned for its amazing collection of antique, vintage and contemporary ceramics, all hand-picked from markets around Japan; oriental-style vases, bowls, teapots, dishes… anything you can think of. They even do free gift-wrapping!

What’s more, it’s located right next door to the retro-cool Box Vintage store and just a jaywalk away from the iconic Mick’s Nuts! Why not make a day of it?
