Kinki Gerlinki garage sale

Kinki Gerlinki are having a garage sale. The independent local label trades in “batty and charming garb”. Looking at their clothes makes me nostalgic for my past self and excited for my future self all at once. I'm reminded of the first time I went into an op shop at 14 and came out with a stash that whilst marked by misguided eclecticism, made me excited about the potential of mashing cute with dress-up-y. I realised my options weren't limited to 'sexy' halter-necks or those god-awful denim ruffled mini skirts. Skip forward to this Saturday when I don my new finds from this garage sale and manage to feel all these feelings whilst actually looking good at the same time.
