Los Angeles’ Gunslinger is a little bit dreamy, a mastery in production and an education in letting loose. Joining the increasingly hip Last Gang records in 2010, things are moving for Gunslinger across the globe and it shouldn’t be long before it hits Australia.
Elements of trance, disco and rock ‘n’ roll may be a tad confusing for some, but ultimately the songs are doused in hooks and it’s hard not get in the mood for a night out. The tracks dip and swell at just the right moments, keeping it free of pigeonholing. There are little rules and plenty of space between the multilayered soundscapes.
Gunslinger has spent a lot time touring as opener for Infected Mushroom and clearly knows what a mass of dance crazy kids want. It’s fresh, inventive and unhibited. Epic times.
