The latest BLACKARTPROJECTS project by curator Dave Hagger is a drawing show! No it is not. Yes it is. Okay it’s a drawing show but with not much drawing in it. As they say in the business, it “engages the act of drawing in relation to facets of perception, process and the capacity for individual invention.” Similar to the way I engage the act of doing work in relation to facets of doodling on the internet. In other words, wooooo!

So what will these non-drawing drawings be? Well, first, they will be many. One hundred works by 50 local and 50 international artists including Yoshitomo Nara, Jeffrey Smart, Jasper Knight, Wilma Tabacco, Steven Asquith, Sarah Hendy, Mark ‘Kill Pixie’ Whalen and Fernando do Campo.

Second, they will include Tai Snaith’s recent photos of her horse wearing costumes.
