‘Bela Lugosi’s dead’, exhibition opening!

Description:
Most of us prefer to pretend that death doesn’t exist. That scythe-wielding dude with the bad breath and Sith lord cape won’t be coming for us anytime soon, right? But Death be Kind looks death square in its bloodshot eyeballs. This 12 month-long art project will explore relationships between art and death through a series of dark curated exhibitions. Bela Lugosi’s dead is the second installation in the program, featuring Carla Cescon, Tony Garifalakis and Simon Scheurle, whose work united will create a new aesthetic experience of the horror film. Be sure to calm your nerves with a couple of vodkas downstairs before you cross to the other side. – REJ
