Boxwars is quite possibly the greatest idea in the history of fun shit. It’s basically bashing each other in cardboard suits. Could there be anything better? No. There could not. This Saturday at Caulfield Park the 15th annual Boxwars championship will go down in a hilarious flurry of torn cardboard, and spittle. And anyone can step up to the plate, provided they’re box-clad, and they sign a special form that says you don’t mind a few paper cuts. Also, this year’s theme is "Robots" so make sure your cardboard suit looks like an automaton. That shouldn’t be too hard. Afterwards there’ll be a party to celebrate the spoils of victory, or the agony of defeat, at the Bang Night Club (Royal Melbourne Hotel). – JC
