No getting around it, cancer is a stone-cold bummer. The Cancer Council Arts Awards gives those touched by cancer, either directly or through a loved one, an opportunity to share their experience. The theme this year is ‘I Am’ with categories in visual art, short stories, poetry, youth and children’s art and writing, indigenous visual art and film. Consider entering a hearty ‘fuck you’ to an illness that has affected most of us. An arty fuck you. – KD
