As Kane pointed out last year, Cashmere If You Can is the arty version of Michael Apted’s Up series. An annual exhibition that examines human development in seven year stretches. When it started it was just Jamie Boys and the years 0 to 7. Another artist is added every year until (theoretically) there will be seven artists exhibiting at the seventh exhibition, dealing with the ages 43 to 49.

Somewhat confusingly, though, the fifth exhibition is happening at Seventh Gallery. The artists are Sarah crowEST, Kristen Phillips, Federico Joni, Jamie Boys and, this year’s newcomer, Marcin Wojcik (who will take part in the Cashmere Sacred Initiation at the opening). Dealing with the ages 29 to 35, the show will explore weddings, children, promotions, staking your claim on the world, alien channeling, occult brand worship, orgies, digital mounds and ice climbing – two of which I have been considering since I turned 30.
