Now you might call me old fashioned, but what I like in a band is musicians who can actually sing and play their instruments. Heel Toe Express can play, sing and stomp in time to boot. And they are are old fashioned in the old-timey, Frank Fairfield/Hank Williams sort of way. That is to say, in the good way. And they’re playing at Tex Perkins’s pub (aka the Post Office Hotel) on a Sunday afternoon. And it won’t cost you a nickel, which is also quite old-fashioned.
