CIBI are always having exhibitions of beautiful things that make you wish you had the kitchen//bathroom/life of a Japanese person. Perhaps we wouldn’t wish to trade places at this devastating juncture in Japanese history, but that’s all the more reason to support the beautiful and simple design the country is known for, and by extension the people themselves. Tonight it’s about Japanese kitchen tools from Kobo Aizawa, known for their black flatware cutlery that has been included in the Design Collection of New York’s Museum of Modern Art for almost as long as I have been me. – REJ
