I’ve said it before and, you guessed it, I’ll say it again. A literary journal has no business launching issues with the kind of music lineups they have been assembling time after, you guessed it again, time. To be fair, I’m not exactly sure what to expect from such a launch. Cigars and rich leather? Ribald puns involving Balzac? Tweed gang bang? This time you can expect Mark Barrage to patiently explain to you why ‘electronic’ doesn’t need to be suffixed with a genre, ‘experimental rhythm and blues’ from Fatti Frances and Sarah Mary Chadwick of Batrider performing a solo set. Which better not be more raw than her output with the band because I don’t like to feel feelings. Also: newcomers to the ironic-but-not-really-ironic-at-all choir brigade Just Holler!.
