Until recently the only culturally significant examinations of networks were the 1976 film Network, the 1995 film The Net and a net used to catch cod off the coast of the Lofoten archipelago in Norway. Lucky, then, MUMA’s second show in their spanking new digs is an examination of the network, and not just the one that allows you to steal wifi from your neighbours. All kinds of networks, ‘biological… engineered, information, cognitive, semantic and social’. It’s the paradigm of our age and MUMA have enlisted some heavy-hitters to prove it, from Howard Arkley to Nick Mangan, Masato Takasaka and Kit Wise. – KD
