Emotion is lost on most people these days. Sure, there was a surge when the big WH breathed her last, but generally things seem a bit forced – like that llama with the big hair and the video games. Yet at the young age of 20, Brooke Addamo (better known as Owl Eyes) is doing her best to crack our nonchalant exteriors. With a voice far beyond her years, Brooke channels the roller coaster of her youth and transforms it into dreamy pop. Performing a mixture of original songs and covers alongside some special guests, her debut at the Spiegeltent is a tribute to the love and heartbreak of summer. All we know about these guests so far is that they are dubiously lumped under the “and friends” title, but friends or no friends, this performance will shoot straight for the heartstrings.
