I thought Alice Glenn just ran No Lights No Lycra, the potty hotty free-form dance exercise club whose recent performance at Sugar Mountain was described by Mess and Noise as "frankly bizarre". *Salutes*. But it turns out she and her friend Elizabeth Barnett have also recently taken over the old Rudolf Steiner School / Monastery in Abbotsford and converted the whole thing into artist studios. There are 26 artists in there already and they’ve even started a Garden Club! Anyway, it’s all officially launching on Saturday with a market and open studios from 10am until 4pm, then bands from 6pm. Check it out while you can because the building is set to be demolished at the end of the year, whence the man shall build apartments for wet-wipes like me to live in. – PM
