Hailing from the New Zealand of Australia, The Native Cats are an intriguing blend of stolen basslines, Casiotone beats and what sounds suspiciously like a melodica. You can almost hear the isolation; or maybe that’s me romanticising the whole Tasmanian thing. Either way, they’re playing with two awesome bands – the very kick-ass Super Wild Horses and wildly entertaining UV Race, so even if you’re a racist, your tenner will be well spent. – MO
