As our esteemed editor says, ‘Zile is a weirdo, but an organised one’ – and that’s precisely why his Three Performances at Open Archive will be worth seeing. His past projects have included re-enacting film clips using post-it notes, narrating his own appearance on The Price Is Right and collecting portraits of Jerry Springer audience members for over twenty years. But these three performances, entitled ‘Pre-recorded music, Facial recognition, Office stationery’, ‘Stone, Portraiture, Cinema, YouTube, Liquids’ and ‘Sweat, Voice, Scream, Smile’ look like they’ll be site-specific performances, all anchored by fevered digital video collage that makes you feel like you’ve been imprisoned in the internet.
