We’ve Been Expecting You presents Zuzu Angel, The 80 Aces and White Summer

We’ve Been Expecting You is a new night at Pony designed to be “an avenue for up-and coming-artists to get into the Melbourne music scene.” Its inauguration also, fortuitously, falls on national SLAM day. You hear that, Ma? Shit’s totally fortuitous. Heaps felicitous. Maybe even serendipitous. Definitely not duplicitous. Who’ve we got on the bill? Zuzu Angel wearing their Rolling Stones influences on their sleeve. Or whatever they use to mop the sweat from their brow as they play you some old fashioned, chugging rock and roll. The 80 Aces are aces. Also: from Warrnambool. They must have stopped getting music delivered there somewhere around the halcyon days of Soundgarden. Which is fine by them. White Summer do it the only way they know how. The upbeat blues, fuzzy rock way.
