Yarraville Pop-Up Park launch BBQ

Pop-Up shop – whatever. But Pop-Up park – genius. Like putting lipstick on a guerilla, Ballarat Street, in between Murray and Canterbury, is being transformed into a park for the next three months. Synthetic turf is being laid, plants bumped in and businesses surrounding the park are leaving out tables, chairs and umbrellas during the day for you to use. It’s pretty much what rehearsals for The Truman Show looked like. To celebrate the opening, and this insane idea, they’re hosting a sausage sizzle. It’s free! I guess anyone who can go to a sausage sizzle at 3.30 in the afternoon needs it to be.
