Zine review #26, 'Choose your own adventure (CYOA)' issue #2

You know how you get really excited about something and you flail your arms around and keep exclaiming “amazing” and gesticulating madly and your friends slowly drop their eyes and quietly begin retreating. Well, this is one of those moments of wild enthusiasm when a zine so special, so insane, falls into your lap. Or your disk drive. Portable storage just got sexy. Real sexy.
At first glance, a portable disk. Too bad you don't have a drive to play it in. But your drive is your fingers, your eyes. Spinning madly inside its housing is a never-ending zine, an adventure of indeterminate narrative control. Slide the magnetic shutter head to one side and peek at the rotating paper zine inside. It's a never-ending zine of awesome secretness (city takeovers, generic plots, world salvation, kidnappings, rooftop chases…) viewed from both sides. And you, YOU are the computer. Amazing. Amazing! (Arms flapping.) (Friends slowly stepping backwards.)
