Kuwaii shop opening and summer collection launch
published on 19th October, 2011

Before it was all talk no shop. Now: Shop. Kuwaii‘s long term studio has been divided in two by a gauze so they can still keep the studio out the back and sell their beautiful clothes out the front!

Kristy says the shop is a “…beacon of white loveliness!” I say, “I am so happy to be female! Where did you get these giant monsteras?”

Floralled by Cecilia Fox and with front window installations by friends and lovers, let me tell you it is nice to buy Kuwaii from a place that looks and feels like Kuwaii too.

Now, the shop opening is not the only thing to celebrate here. Kuwaii have a summer collection to fill their store with. It’s called Cosmic Poetry and while I am not sure what that means I do have an opinion on what it looks like: Let me tell you it is clean, light and fresh.

It’s pretty and subtle and is a welcome offset to the current colour blocking slappage that’s going on around Melbourne.
