I saw a clairvoyant. Before you dismiss what I am about to say, let me put a few things into context: The closest I had ever come to being a “believer” was when I bid on an X-Files “I want to believe” t-shirt on eBay. I was a skeptic. My spiritual allegiances were with the Charmed box set and the demise of John Edwards. I was the perfect BS detecting candidate.

But then my friend had a reading at SpellBox last week and described how freakily accurate her clairvoyant was, and I had to experience it for myself. I was paired with Amethyst, a clairvoyant who specialises in crystal readings, using atmospheric energy to connect with spirits. Before beginning we sat in silence for five minutes, while she read me. I was scared my dead relatives would tell her I’ve been throwing away my nonna’s Tupperware because I’m too lazy to wash it and she’d judge me.

Instead she enlightened me and put my life into perspective. She also knew the year my parents got married, how old I was when my great grandmother died and that my house had flooded. Now unless ASIO had been keeping tabs on me for 23 years, there’s no way Amethyst could have known these things, she is 100% legit. I am now a believer.
