New Year’s Eve 2011
published on 28th December, 2011

With the constant churn and burn of every day life it really is important to spend some time at the end of the year reflecting on what has been and what will be in the year to come. And what better way to tie loose ends than to really tie one on. Just relax and see in the new year with some steaming regret. If you’re down the coast, why not take some acid with friends. If you’re in the city why not do the same at any one of the following seven parties split across New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day:

Saturday 31 December
The KO-OP presents Paradise City NYE 2011 featuring Uffie
If you’re not really sure if you like Uffie, how about freeing your mind a little. The guys from Massive Wieners are picking her up from Tullamarine and driving her to a warehouse location to be confirmed on the day where she’ll play with one of The Bumblebeez DJs.

A Guy Called Gerald, NYE at New Guernica
A Guy Called Gerald plus friends is playing an old-school acid house set. Acid house on acid – it’s “about as close to the horse’s mouth you are going to get without feeding it a couple of green Mitsubishis and riding it straight to Manchester.”

The House de Frost NYE Armageddonoutahere 2012 Xtravaganza
Spending New Year’s Eve at The Toff is a good idea because you’ll get to see Curtin House for what it really is – a fucking zoo.

Bamboo DJs at Energie Transfer
This is definitely a wonderful party to go. Rohan and Misha are DJing and you’ll be with a group of people who are good at having fun. Be sure to call the German Hotline (0452 417 865) on Thursday afternoon for directions to the location.

Free NYE party at The Liberty Social
Jaff and team are throwing a free NYE party in the most social of basements with Post-Percy and Awesome Whales. There will be classy $4 sparkling, supa-classy $20 bottles of sparkling and $5 stubbies all night.

Sunday 1 January
Animals Dancing presents Motor City Drum Ensemble and 6th Borough Project
This is the gig of 2013 pending all other gigs of 2013. Kane has like a major boner for this gig. UPDATE: This has sold out :(

Hanni el Khatib – GIVEAWAY
Knife fight music at The Tote is a must on New Years Day?

Inside Out monthly presents The Revenge
If you find yourself STILL at New Guernica from the night before, withdraw another $20, stick around and see The Revenge.
