Six Thousand is an online magazine about Perth written by a motley band of locals for readers who like new music, good reading, independent projects, nice clothes, foods, drinks, people and adventures.

Everything published on Six Thousand is there because we think it's great. We're here when you need event reminders, local recommendations, last-minute adventure ideas and bus reading. Also we once interviewed Bret Easton Ellis but it went pretty badly.

Six Thousand started as a free e-newsletter and we're still sending it! Every Thursday at 3pm or thereabouts. Sign up top left.

Drop us a line if you have any questions or if you make any discoveries of your own. We’d love to hear from you.

We also make internet here:

Our website was designed in collaboration with Anthony Kolber who also built the frontend. Max, Tim and Hugh from Icelab built us a custom publishing system.

Special thanks to Rob Cordiner for designing our brand identity, and John McLennan for consulting on the project. He also designed the newsletter!
