Cantina 663

Now that ol’ man Jack Frost has taken hold of our city for another year, the prospect of ducking into a dimly lit cavern filled with the warm scent of slow-roasted meat sounds mighty appealing.

Cantina provides just this. When you can smell the menu before you’ve even clapped eyes on it, you are definitely in for a culinary treat. Cantina use only seasonal ingredients and your friendly waiter can even tell you which local grower delivered it to their pantry. Now that’s fresh!

Cantina means ‘wine cellar’ in Italian, and indeed, the wine list resembles a short novel. Get one of the staff to recommend a Spanish variety to accompany your warm olives, or, if the piggy bank protests, visit Cantina early in the week for BYO sans corkage. No doubt, Cantina is the place to get deliciously stuffed and rosy-cheeked this winter.
