Moore & Moore Cafe
published on 6th October, 2011

A selection of my thoughts from this morning:

Upon waking: ‘It’s 6.20am, why am I even awake at this non-hour? Oh yeah that’s right, I have zero time-management skills and hence have to drive to Fremantle to review Moore & Moore Cafe this morning, they better have damn good coffee.’

Upon arrival: ‘I really like this end of Freo, those Georgians sure knew how to lend a street a sense of grandeur. Oh here’s the cafe.’

Whilst waiting for my breakfast: ‘Definitely could make this place a weekend regular, nice rough-hewn walls, spacious art gallery right there, mismatched furniture, it looks the part’.

After receiving my meal: ‘Hell yes. Coffee. French toast. This morning’s starting to turn around. Holy s*#t that French toast is good. Pancakes are for chumps, French toast is where it’s at. Do they eat French toast in France? I thought they ate croissants for breakfast, maybe it’s like a French fries type situation, better Wikipedia that later. Mmmm, good coffee as well, managed to hide the double shot. Good work Mista Barista.’

Upon arrival at the studio: ‘Wow it’s 9am and I’ve already driven to Freo and back and eaten a damn fine breakfast. Maybe I should become a morning person? No, that’s never gonna happen. Now to write that review…’
