Design Process, various
published on 2nd September, 2009

I know you’re all really busy looking good at Fashion Week and everything, but if I can get you, just for a moment, to put down that glass of red, and turn your attention to something that is indeed worthy of it (yes, even more than that garish fuschia number that just shrieked its way down the catwalk): Design Process.

Design Process sees King Street retailers handing over their window space to local creative talent. PFF WA Designer finalist Carly Hunter uses pieces from her latest collection (inspired by astronomy, doom metal music, and the moon!) for an installation in Billie & Rose, local illustrative artist Jodee Knowles takes over Cult Status with her romantic and sad-eyed creations, Larz Harry goes on a design adventure in Zekka, and Hayley Barsden and Yasmin Kopij (who head off to Bless and Ann Sofie Back for internships this summer!) tranform the Dilettante window into a walk-in Dropsheet Gallery.

Let your meanderings lead you to the brand new Wellington Projects Space at 7pm for the collected artists showdown, where you may pick up where you left off with that glass of red. Just don’t stand too close to the window, or people are going to start looking for you in the programme.
