The launch of local independent record store Fat Shan’s label arm at the Bakery last Sunday was a top night. If the hooting and clapping in the room were anything to go by, everyone was suitably impressed with the young music talent that will now call FSR home, many with debut albums coming out in the next few months. Test out their produce for yourself – Fat Fridays at Ya Ya’s will rotate the label’s new acts in live performances. First to bare all (music, not bodies) are post-rockers Lanark, the sweet pop of Lacey and the better-known boogie blokes, Bastian’s Happy Flight.
