Hand Painted Legs

Perth avant-garde performance collective Voix De La Ville liken their late-night presence in Fringe World as “the dirt on your shoe, your last breath, a burning cigarette, a half empty glass”. Ah, we feel so much less guilty about midnight drinking when these guys are around! ‘Hand Painted Legs‘ channels the fire and sex of 1920s film actress Clara Bow, a self-admitted freak who blazed a trail across Californian beaches back in the day by hand-painting her legs. Ash Baroque and his consummate gang of creatives combine art, drag, burlesque, cabaret and spoken word to guarantee us all a taboo-breaking performance, delivered from the waist down. Worth staying up late and emptying many glasses for!
