High school reunions are usually more about trying to one up the people who pissed you off in high school, than they are an opportunity to really reminisce.That’s unless your graduating class is a class of painters, in which case each reunion doubles as an excuse to throw a group exhibition, which is exactly what ECU’s 1996 painting graduates – Campbell Whyte, Liz Maruffo and co – are doing at freerange. All works are under $200, so invest in some local talent. Then, when it comes time for your school reunion, you can legitimately boast about owning an amazing collection of art. -DM.
