Look twice and you’ll find The Outram hidden behind lush and leafy trees. Subtle and small in size, it nails quality over quantity. The Outram’s only got 18 rooms, but each one of them is executed with attention to the smallest of details (L’Occitane bath products), and the larger ones (spa bath in every room).

After a pre-dinner cocktail in The Outram’s private clubroom, a night out or a decent bite to eat are easily accessed closeby – Subiaco, Northbridge and Leederville are a quick taxi ride or brisk walk away. If you hit the tiles too hard (or after one too many glasses of red in the spa), the perfect remedy is the complimentary breakfast out on the terrace, complete with daily newspapers and free wireless for those without an ‘off’ button.
