West-side summers wouldn’t be anywhere near as decent without Perth Festival’s Music Box. This week, the Box is back! Except now it’s a Garden! And it’s even better than the Box. Note to self: replace all mentions of ‘Box’ with ‘Gardens’ in future boozy late night text messaging: ‘Where R U? We’re at the Gardens already. Front to the left a bit at Cass McCombs, we bought you a drink. Hurry!’.
Festival Gardens is in the WA Museum Grounds and has all the trimmings: booze, coffee, market-style food stalls. You basically never have to go home. Tight-asses listen up! Even if you only buy a ticket to one measly gig in the Gardens program (of course, we know you all have minimum ten gigs booked already!), you can still get entry into primo Gardens hang zone The Lounge whenever you want, for the whole season.
