Perth Writers Festival
published on 23rd February, 2012

Far out, Perth is pulling out all the stops lately. Raining angel feathers, letting sexy French filmmakers roam around. If you’re not already festivalled up to your festivus, Perth Writers Festival is scrolling out another smorgasbord, this time populated by literary babes. Yes, we’re mixing our metaphors – if you know what that means, then you’ll want to browse the entire program.

Our ’100% Hits’ Thousands version of the program, however, thinks you should go to tales from London, via Nigeria and Dublin with Inua Ellams; enjoy a little crimey gore with Jo Nesbø; get serious about global business with Rev. Tim Costello (the non-evil twin); and if you didn’t get enough simulated sex at the other festivals, there’s this for your aural pleasure.

Taking time off from screen-writing all our secret favourite Aussie telly shows, potty-mouthed cutie-pie Marieke Hardy will be in attendance to present three of our top picks. Plus, there are plenty of high-brow freebies to attend while you chill down in the UWA air-conditioning.
