EAT-DRINK
Pilgrim CoffeeA relatively new Hobart cafe that’s so relaxed you get fooled into thinking it’s been around for a while. Will the owner has had his head into serious coffee for quite a few years and sharpened his skills on Melbourne’s best espresso machines; he’ll tell you the story behind the bean down to the finest detail...
SHOP
Love & ClutterTrue to its name – Love & Clutter is a tiny bean of a shop crammed to exploding point with colour and prints and truly loveable stuff.
EAT-DRINK
The MONA Wine BarAs its name suggests it might, the MONA Wine Bar sells wine. But strangely it sells a lot of wines from what look like beer taps. That’s because it’s also a kind of cellar door, peddling the surprisingly good wines from its very own soil.
STRAY
The Hobart RivuletAn empty, dank and (kinda) creepy tunnel that stretches for about about a kilometre or so. Inside, there’s shitloads of graffiti.
LOOK
The Wim Delvoye exhibition (including Tattoo Tim tours!)Wim Delvoye’s ‘poo machine’ (called ‘Cloaca‘) has been a real talking point at MONA. It is part of the museum’s permanent collection and it is also the “most hated” artwork.
