You can take the Bourke Street Bakery out of Surry Hills, but you can’t take the ‘Bourke Street’ out of the name, apparently.

These happy dough-makers have been doing a great job of keeping our cake holes filled from their Surry Hills, Broadway, Alexandria and CBD stores. Now a new outpost has…ahem…arisen in Mitchell Street, Marrickville.**Quite frankly, they can call it what they like so long as they keep turning out pork and fennel sausage rolls, strawberry and vanilla brulee tarts and thin folded pizzas with a multitude of nice toppings. Not to mention the good coffee and their very own ol’ fashioned lemonade.

Oh yeah, and they bake bread too.
