Ching Yip Coffee Lounge

Hovering three floors above the Dixon Street Food Hall, nestled amongst Chinese travel agents and masseur parlours, you’ll find Sydney’s most genuine diner – Not of the Yankee burger-flipping variety but the real-McKoy, Hong Kong style kind. Here, Western fast food and Asian home-style classics blend miraculously. The interior is all peach and mirrors, the soundtrack boasts covers of TEARS IN HEAVEN and the staff are, well, overstaffed, but most importantly, the menu runs deep.**Ching Yip is GOODGOD’s weekly meeting HQ and we’re still years off working through it all. Here’s some of the best: Condensed Milk Peanut Butter Toast; Hot Lemon Coke; Fresh Paw Paw Milkshake; Pork Knuckle Macaroni Noodle Soup; Russian Bortsca; Pork Chop curry with rice and an Ice Ovaltine.
