History has shown that all good things must come to an end or if not, a franchise. Doppio Doughboy has extended its crusty goodness from the shores of North Bondi to the gutter side of Potts Point. And like any good protégé, Doughboy, Potts Point has established its own character while remaining faithful to its master.
The menu is unswerving in loyalty to Bondi favourites such as Capricciosa, Bosco or Con Pollo, all veritable symphonies of savour. The Potts Point’s intimacy of seating however, will either encourage new friendships or old prejudices, depending on your perspective. Two Thousand recommends breaking some garlic and cheese bread with your neighbour to quell any misanthropic tendencies.
But you don’t even need to brave our torrential streets to sample Doughboys stuffs. Oh no, if it’s your flavour, have one of their strapping delivery lads whisk you over a 15″ Con Salmone: an delicate fishy, limey, cheesy sensation that will have you stapling the menu to your fridge.
