It’s not often you get to involve yourself in a literal feast of ideas.
As part of Sydney Design 09 Festival, the Powerhouse Museum will play host to pop-up restaurant project Eat Green Design. Housed in the museum’s Turbine Hall, the space has been been conceived by Tribe Studio with a menu designed by Dank Street Depot’s Jared Ingersoll.**While it might seem a bit on the exxy side, each sitting will host a panel of speakers addressing specific aspects of sustainability in design, and importantly includes booze. Limited-edition pieces created for the project by local designers (including the cutlery and crockery) will be available at the Young Blood: Designers Market held in the same hall, and EGD will be open all day for coffee and midday lectures by the designers involved and other guest speakers
