Summer in Sydney means many things. A tasty scoop or three of gelato always ranks high on the list of ways to cool off (coming in just above standing in the walk-in beer cooler at Amatos Liquor). 

Newcomer to the highly-competitive gelato scene is Glebe’s Grand Gelato – and yes, they’re a contender. We can highly recommend the licorice, Jaffa, caramel and/or vanilla. There’s a couple tables inside and out, tasty coffee, shakes and take home packs as well.**Open since late November, Grand Gelato is the first outlet for the popular Western Australia-based Amano Gelato. Sandwiched between Badde Manors and Well Connected, it’s a great place to top off dinner in Glebe, or a destination in its own right – perhaps after a dip at Victoria Park Pool? Do something healthy, then do something unhealthy. That’s the Sydney way.
