Micky’s Cafe is back!
published on 16th August, 2009

There’s a sect among the dining public who read the desserts before the main menu. My brethren and I believe a meal needs strategy, that appropriate space must be allocated in the battle between sweet and savoury.

Micky’s is the kind of place that’s very receptive to our way of thinking. The menu at this Paddo institution gives ample weighting to the sweet end of the deal, with crumbles, sundaes, puddings, cheesecakes, pancakes and regular cakes. Or you can imbibe liquid dessert by choosing one of their thickshakes (mars bar, caramello, rocky road, oh my!). They’re surely what Elvis would have washed his fried sandwiches down with.**The mains reads like a greatest hits of bistro/pub fare with pizzas, pastas, steaks, schnitzels, burgers and bangers for your buck. It caters well for broad appeal, but sweet will always win the day. We welcome Micky’s back as we’ve missed him.
